Michigan counties ranked by percentage without health insurance
MLive
In 2013, one of five residents in Oscoda County lacked health insurance, the highest percentage in Michigan. Among Oscoda adults age 19 to 64 — those too old for the MiChild program and too young for Medicare — it was 28%. Since the implementation of the Affordable Care Act, Oscoda still has the highest percentage of uninsured residents, but the numbers have dropped significantly: 13% now lack insurance, and it’s 18% among those 19 to 64.
